Day 01.  Welcome To Ghana

Upon arrival at Kotoka International Airport in Accra, you’ll be warmly welcomed and transferred to your hotel, where the rhythm of the city and the warmth of Ghanaian hospitality immediately set the tone for this powerful Juneteenth journey. After check-in, take time to settle in, refresh, and ground yourself as you arrive not just in a new destination, but in a place deeply connected to history, heritage, and homecoming.

The rest of the day is yours to unwind and adjust at your own pace. Whether you choose to relax, reflect, or take a gentle stroll nearby, this first day is intentionally unhurried — allowing you to ease into the experience, prepare your spirit, and get ready for the meaningful moments that lie ahead.

Day two begins with an inspiring city tour of Accra, where history, culture, and heritage come alive. Your journey starts at the Freedom Sign, a powerful symbol honoring the struggles and resilience of generations, followed by a visit to the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum and Museum, celebrating Ghana’s first president and the country’s path to independence.

Next, immerse yourself in Ghanaian creativity at the Accra Arts Centre, where vibrant crafts, textiles, and artwork showcase the island’s rich artistic culture. The afternoon takes you to the serene Aburi Botanical Garden, where lush greenery, winding paths, and breathtaking views provide a peaceful escape and perfect reflection space.

This day combines history, culture, and nature, allowing you to connect deeply with Ghana’s legacy while capturing unforgettable moments along the way.

On day three, embark on a profound and reflective journey to some of Ghana’s most historic sites. Begin with Assin Manso Slave River, where enslaved Africans were given their last bath before being marched to the coast. This solemn site offers a space for reflection, remembrance, and connection to the resilience of ancestors.

Next, visit the iconic Cape Coast Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most significant landmarks in the history of the transatlantic slave trade. Explore the dungeons, learn the stories of courage and endurance, and walk the halls where history echoes through time.

Day four is dedicated to self-care and rejuvenation after the powerful and emotional experiences of the previous days. Spend the day unwinding at the luxurious Ma’ati Spa, where you’ll indulge in a waterfall massage that soothes the body, calms the mind, and restores your spirit.

The day begins with a hands-on traditional drumming and dance experience led by master local artists who introduce the meaning behind each rhythm and guide you through an energetic call-and-response drum circle that connects you to centuries of storytelling and heritage. After enjoying an authentic Ghanaian lunch, you’ll return to the hotel to refresh and glam up before heading out for an unforgettable Accra nightlife experience, where Afrobeats, vibrant lounges, VIP vibes, and sisterhood celebrations close out the day in true Luxe Tribes style.

Day six is yours to enjoy at your own pace, offering a well-deserved moment of freedom to explore Ghana in a way that feels most meaningful to you. Whether you choose to lounge by the pool, book a spa treatment, shop for local treasures, explore Accra’s art galleries and markets, or simply rest and reflect on your journey so far, this free day allows you to follow your own rhythm and soak in the beauty, culture, and energy of Ghana before the final days of the experience.

Today marks your final day in Ghana for now. After breakfast, seize the opportunity to capture some last-minute snapshots of your incredible trip. Check out from your accommodation, and your driver will be awaiting you, ready to transfer you to the airport for your flight back home.

All online payments will incur a $3 transaction fee.

  • All package rates are based on double occupancy two people sharing therefore you will be paired with another solo traveller.
  • Flights to and from the trip destination is not included in the package cost and must be arranged individually by participants. We provide a complimentary service for flight search to all our travellers
  • To secure your spot on this unforgettable adventure, a deposit of $150pp is required to confirm your reservation, and the remaining balance to be paid in monthly instalments from the dates stated.
  • Health and Safety: Your well-being is our priority, and we will adhere to all necessary health and safety guidelines during the trip. We recommend participants to have travel insurance that covers medical emergencies and trip cancellations (recommendations to be provided after sign up).
  • Cancellation Policy: All payments are non-refundable however transferrable to other trips at latest 12 weeks before travel.
